OUR AREA
The Norfolk Haybarn is set in the rural village of Sedgeford, a few miles south of Hunstanton on the North Norfolk coast. Though tucked away down a narrow country lane, we are a mere 5 minutes walk from the local pub, the King William IV and a stone's throw from a very beautiful Saxon church.
It is the perfect base from which to explore the delights of this corner of Norfolk, with its wide open skies, its huge sandy beaches, fascinating creeks, marshes, harbours and unspoilt countryside. A short car drive away are the famous estates of Sandringham, Holkham and Houghton.
The popular buzzy shopping centre of Burnham Market and the picturesque harbour at Wells-on-sea are within easy reach, and Sedgeford is renowned for its unique Archaeological Dig (SHARP). Bird watchers are spoiled for choice, with Titchwell Bird Reserve not far away (click here to visit the site) - as is Wild Ken Hill, the nature reserve at Snettisham which currently hosts the BBC’s Springwatch in 2023.
There are many fabulous walks in the area, including the iconic Peddars’ Way, the famed Norfolk Coastal Path and the stunning wildflower meadows of Courtyard farm. As rural as we are, we are not 'far off the beaten track' so you will still be handily close to shops, and supermarkets.
